It's been awhile...

...but I have to let you know about the terrific coupons on Target.com right now! These are printable Target coupons that you can stack with manufacturer's coupons to create incredible deals. Most of them are for a FREE product when you buy 3 of the same or similar product.

Some of the ones I found are:

Oreo cookies
Nabisco Crackers
Oscar Mayer lunchmeats
Oscar Mayer Lunchables
Kraft All-Out Squeeze
Nabisco Cookies
Kraft Salad Dressings
Cool Whip
Jell-o pudding or gelatin
Kraft Homestyle Deluxe Macaroni and Cheese dinner
Jell-o refrigerated snacks
Planters Nuts
Nabisco 100-calorie multipacks

They all expire June 5, but I know there are manufacturer's coupons out for quite a few of these products which should make for some great deals!

Giant Eagle cheapies and freebies for now through April 14

Fire up your printers, kids! There are a bunch of super-cheap or free deals this week and a bunch of printables to go along.
  • Ziploc - "slider" bags: $2 sale price (only the sliders and easy-zip). Buy 3, receive $2 off your next order coupon.
    • There are multiple coupons out  for Ziploc, including a buy-one-get-one-free coupon in this Sunday's newspaper. If you've been clipping your coupons like a good li'l shopper, you should also have a $0.55 off 1 coupon AND a $0.40 off 1 and/or $1 off 2 coupons from the March 21 and/or February 21 newspapers.
    • Your scenario will depend on which coupons you have.
      • Buying 3 boxes and using 3 $0.55 coupons would be your best bet:
        • 3 boxes x $2 each = $6 - $3.30  (3 coupons, doubled) = $2.70 - $2 OYNO coupon = $0.70 for 3 boxes (~$0.23 a box!)
      • Buying 3 boxes and using 3 $0.40 off 1 coupons is still a great deal:
        • 3 boxes x $2 = $6 - $2.40 (3 coupons, doubled) = $3.60 - $2 OYNO coupon = $1.60 for 3 boxes (~$0.53 a box)
  • Soft Scrub Total Bath & Bowl or Kitchen spray cleaner: $0.99 Sale price
    • Use $1 off 1 coupon from here and it will be FREE! You should be able to print the coupon twice.
  • Colgate Premium Toothpaste: Sale price 2 for $5 and Mennen Lady Speed Stick: Sale price 2 for $4. Buy $10 worth, receive $3 OYNO coupon.
    • $0.75 off 1 coupons for the toothpaste and deodorant are available here. You can print out two of each coupon, but since they say "limit 1 per household" you are only going to be able to use 1 of each type of printable coupon in 1 transaction. So you can use 1 Colgate Total coupon, 1 Max Fresh coupon, and 1 Lady Speed Stick coupon together.
    • There are also $0.75 off 1 and $0.35 off 1 Colgate coupons in the March 28 newspaper.
    • You can use the shelf price (the "regular" price) to reach the $10 threshold. Each store's shelf prices are slightly different, so make sure you check those out when putting your deal together in the store.
    • Today I bought 3 of the toothpastes @ $2.50 each and 1 ladies' Speed Stick @ $2. Shelf price for each was $2.99.
      • $2.50 x 3 + $2 = $9.50 - $6 (4 $0.75 coupons, doubled) = $3.50 - $3 OYNO coupon = $0.50 for 4 items, or 12.5 cents each!
Happy shopping!

Free Victoria's Secret "Secret Reward" card with any online purchase!

Now through March 31, while supplies last, Victoria's Secret is offering a card worth either $10, $50, $100 or $500 when you make any purchase online. The card itself isn't redeemable until April 1st through the 30th, and they don't divulge the amount the card is worth until you actually use it. That's why they call it a "Secret Reward"!

They have done this promotion the last 2 years at Christmastime and each year I have ended up using my Reward cards online. I have been able to use more than one at a time online, and when you submit the reward card number you can find out how much it is worth. Use code SPRING10 for $15 off a $100 order, $30 off a $150 order or $75 off a $200 order.

This is one of those deals where it's great if you're going to be shopping there anyway. I'll update if I find any other codes that make this deal sweeter.

And don't forget that if you use a site like UPromise, Ebates or MyPoints to access the Victoria's Secret website through your account to get cash back!

Kohl's 15-20-30 Scratch-off event, now through Wednesday 3/10

You must have a Kohl's charge in order to participate in this promotion. If you don't have one, you can open one at the checkout in-store. It takes just a few minutes and you'll get lots of future discounts as well.

When you open or use an existing Kohl's charge during this promotion, you are entitled to one scratch-off coupon. Get it from the cashier and scratch away to reveal your discount. You are guaranteed at least 15% off, but you may also get 20 or 30%. The coupon is good for the duration of the sale, so you can keep it and use it as many times as you want! Want to shop online? Use code MARCH30 and pay with your charge to take 30% off your entire order! Then use the code FUN2BMVC and get free shipping!

On top of that, from now until Sunday 3/7 Kohl's is offering $10 "Kohl's Cash" for every $50 you spend in-store or online. You can redeem in-store only starting Monday 3/8.

Kohl's cash works just like a coupon and there is no minimum purchase required to use it. So you could use $10 Kohl's Cash to buy a $10 item and pay nothing out-of-pocket. You can use it to purchase anything in the store except "Kohl's Cares for Kids" merchandise. Everything else is fair game! Happy shopping!

Walgreens: free Reach toothbrushes and dental floss

Walgreens has both Reach Johnson & Johnson dental floss (55 yards regularly priced @ 1.79) or Reach Prevent toothbrush for $0.99 each. There are coupons out for both of these for $1 off of 1 item, which obviously would make them free! There is a limit of 3 on these, but since it's per transaction there's no law that you can't come back in and do another trip!

There are separate coupons for the floss and the toothbrushes. The floss coupon is from the 01-03-10 Redplum insert. The toothbrush coupon came out waaaaaay back in October, so if you haven't been collecting coupons for very long you might have to check the clipping sites to see if they have any.

ETA: I just checked Dede's website and she has a bunch of the floss and toothbrush coupons left. You probably won't get them in time for the sale, but this is a situation where the store shelf being empty works to your advantage. You can get a raincheck, and when your coupons come in the mail you can snag up your deal!

What to do:

1. Clip the Walgreens coupon from the store circular, page 10 in the lower right corner.
2. Gather your floss and/or toothbrush coupons and remember: limit 3 per transaction.
3. Make SURE that when you get to the store you match up the Walgreens coupon to the correct items. Only certain toothbrushes and flosses count, so make sure your floss is 55 yds. and that your toothbrush is of the "Prevent" persuasion.

Keep in mind:

This is a very popular sale and Walgreens is notorious for under-stocking. If you get to the store and they are out of the items you want, get a raincheck! Then you can have your own personal sale when the shelves are stocked again.

Smokin' hot Giant Eagle deal on Tombstone pizza

**Edited to add: There has been a change to this deal. Still a good one, but just tweaked.

My first real post. *yay*

Giant Eagle is running two promotions this week that include Tombstone frozen pizzas. Luckily for all of us savvy shoppers, it turns out that when you buy the right quantity of pizzas you get to "double dip" both promotions.

To get in on the deal:

1. Choose your favorite 3 Tombstone pizzas that are on sale this week 4 for $10. (So $7.50 worth.)
2. Purchase your pizzas.
3. After your transaction is completed and while your receipt is printing, that fun little Catalina coupon machine should spark to life and print out a total of ONE $4 and ONE $1 coupons for your next shopping order. You should also get a coupon with a free Redbox movie rental code.

The Math:

3 pizzas at $2.50 each = $7.50 paid
1 coupon for $4 each  and 1 coupon for $1= $5 back
Net out-of-pocket purchase: 3 pizzas for $2.50 ($0.83 each!)

AND this deal can get even better. I have read on other sites that if you use the self-checkout, a manufacturer's coupon will print after you've scanned the 2nd or 3rd pizza. This coupon is for $1.50 off of 3 Tombstone pizzas and if you get it you can use it immediately for the pizzas you're buying. This coupon did print for me after I scanned the 2nd pizza, so when it came time to scan coupons (before I paid), I used it. It brought my total down to $6.00, and thus my net out-of-pocket (after Catalinas) down to $1! That's only a $0.33 a pizza!

Why it works:

1. The Tombstone pizzas are included in the "March is Frozen Food Month" month-long (obviously!) promotion shown on page 3 of this week's ad. As part of this promo, you receive a $1 Catalina for your next shopping order when you spend $15 on qualifying items. For some reason this is working on the shelf price (2 for $11) of the Tombstone. When you buy 3, that puts you over the $15 threshold, earning you a $1 coupon.

2. The pizzas are also included in this week's Kraft promo on page 5 of the ad: buy $15 worth, get $4 OYNO (Off Your Next Order). Since this one is also working on shelf price, buying 3 pizzas puts you over the $15 threshold twice. Thus, you earn one $4 OYNO Catalina.

Don't ask me why it works that way. It doesn't always work on shelf price, but this week it does! Yay for us!

Hi there, Western PA Savers!

I've been "couponing" and deal-scouting for several years now and I like sharing my deals with friends and family. The purpose of this blog is to share the great deals I find with other savvy shoppers (and savvy shopper wannabes) who shop the same stores I do. Many of my deals will probably come from nationwide-retailers, but many will also be from stores local to the Western Pennsylvania area.

You may notice while you're reading that I tend to inject my weird sense of humor into whatever I'm saying. If you know me well, by now you love me anyway. The rest of you will surely come to overlook it.
